Teaching Philosophy

This section outlines some of the most important elements of my Teaching Philosophy.

Please start with the Teaching Philosophy overview slideshow (from 2012). This needs to be updated as my teaching philosophy is constantly shifting to adapt to student need. Look for an updated version later in 2018 as I consider the influence that an increase in international students, generational changes – Gen Z are here this fall! – and changes in society have on my own understanding of education.

Classroom Innovation explains how I use Technology and Activity Based Learning to keep the classroom fresh and engaging.
